We have a tendency, as human beings, to dwell on the negatives rather than the positives in life which can be challenging. But what if you could follow your instincts by learning something new that allowed you to trust in your gut instincts, naturally?

Sophrology began as a result of the teachings of a Columbian born neuropsychiatrist, Professor Alfonso Caycedo, who introduced it as a self-development tool using breathing, movement and visualisation techniques as a way to relieve the pain of those suffering with depression and trauma. This enabled them to overcome their experiences, which improved their overall health and wellbeing, bringing joy and happiness back to their lives.

It is the ‘science of consciousness in harmony’, a combination of Eastern wisdom meeting Western science, combining yoga, Buddhism and Zen together, thereby improving the lives of those suffering from stress, worry, anxiety, depression or trauma. It continues to be offered in Switzerland, Spain and France as add-on therapy for overall health and wellbeing.

You become very in tune with the connection between your body & mind, and that is the most powerful element, unlike traditional mindfulness practices, as this enables the body-mind connection to influence your inner awareness seeing the world with curiosity and wonder, as if for the first time! This is the very essence of Sophrology as it includes regular practices that reveal the power of positivity, so you instinctively feel happier as a result.

Setting the seed for your own natural instincts, is just the beginning of this experience, when the stars align and the Universal energies become something you notice deep within yourself. You get the key to finding enjoyment, being present and loving everything that life has to offer.
