The Emotional Habit Plan…

Manifesting regular habits will enable you grow and, with time, help you create new habits around your lifestyle that are easy to do, so you feel happier!

We are constantly on the treadmill of life, seeking new ways to enhance our lives, improve our diets, exercise more, learn new things, be more present and so it goes on and on.  But how does that translate when, finding more spare time in our already very busy lives…well, there is a way to increase intentions so they become autonomous and easier to do…

We write down our goals, are mindful, focus on them, fill out our journals and set our intentions to making our dreams come true, but most of us never reach that stage and some may even give up after a day or two.  Just thinking about doing it can put a negative spin on things, then it becomes something we dread starting, triggering a chain of negative emotions that stop us from achieving the ultimate goal or dream we really want.

Tell the negative committee that meets inside your head to sit down, shut up and get on with it!

Now think about the ‘feeling’, the positive impact that comes from the effort of learning a new skill, the satisfaction and sense of achievement from the success, or reward and then think about the joy of finding out that your emotional habit is winning the race…now that is an amazing feeling!

So reframe the goal or dream into an ‘Emotional Habit Plan’, a process that reinforces the habit that can be done everyday!

  • Choose one habit at a time and tag it onto something you do already that you love to do.
  • Do it for 30 days or at least 21 days to really cement the habit into your daily routine.
  • Plan when you’re going to fit this new habit into your day and log the time you are going to do it.
  • By writing a list of tasks you can tick them off as you do them, and this will help keep you motivated.
  • Find a friend or family member to do them with you and being positive will encourage you to carry on.
  • Work out a strategy to get to that final goal and visualise yourself doing it in detail wins the race…

This can be applied to several areas of your life, from getting up in the morning to cleaning your teeth at night, there are plenty of things we can manifest in our life, creating daily habits that FEEL easier, will in turn MAKE them easier to do!

It is a simple process that will literally start to ‘grow on you’, then you will begin to notice that regular habits appear to get easier, and the more you do that, the more you will start enjoying them!
