Through regular Sophro Balance practices you can explore the ideal way to live, relaxing the neurons of the brain, will give you a sense of ‘aliveness’ that will enable you to enjoy life to the fullest!

Sophrology, a holistic practice that releases tensions enables the mind-body connection to bring our awareness inside through breathing, movement and visualisation techniques.  This can have a powerful effect enabling us to be more in tune with our feelings of happiness & joy, the benefits of which is that by doing these exercises not only results in us feeling happier but life issues seem easier to manage, known as a sense of ‘aliveness!

This can also have a very positive impact on many neurodiverse conditions such as Autism, ADHD, dyslexia and dyspraxia  to name a few more common ones, but OCD, Tourette’s, epilepsy and bipolar disorder all come under the umbrella of ‘neurodivergent conditions.’

Autism – a neurological developmental disorder that affects how people interact with others communicating, learning and behaving, usually appearing in the first 2yrs of life.

ADHD – attention deficit hyperactivity disorder is a condition that affects people’s behaviour, they can sometimes seem restless having trouble concentrating and acting impulsively.

Dyslexia – a common learning difficulty that mainly causes problems with reading, writing and spelling.  It’s a specific learning difficulty which means it causes problems with those things growing up.

Dyspraxia – also a common disorder that affects movement and co-ordination but does not affect intelligence.  It can affect you doing tasks such as balance, playing sports or learning to drive.

OCD – this is known as obsessive compulsive disorder which features unwanted thoughts or fears known as obsessions that can lead to repetitive behaviour called compulsions.

Tourette’s – a neurological condition that causes involuntary movements and sounds called tics that are fast repetitive movements that cause sudden body jerks or sounds.

Epilepsy – a common condition that affects thd brain causing frequent seizures which are bursts of electrical activity in the brain that can temporarily affect how it works. It can occur again at age.

Sophro Balance provides a 10 week course The Holistic Body, a series of exercises that will release, refocus and restore happiness allowing you to feel more in control.  A mix of Yoga, Buddhism & Zen, where Eastern wisdom meets Western science that, combined creates harmony between body & mind bringing a sense of balance back to your life.

These principles and techniques are restoring the mind-body connection, to enable adopting a positive mindset, letting go of judgment and activating your latent inner resources.  It is always best to seek the advice of a health professional before undertaking  any new exercise or holistic practice.
