Everybody is different, and it can be tricky to navigate through life for many women especially those in menopause, and it can creep up on you without you even realising what’s going on until you look back and realise part of you was elsewhere…

If like me you feel you are going through an emotionally charged time, then here are some useful tips on what you can do to make your experience easier:

  • Nutrition & Supplements – This is for basic good gut health and extra vitamins you need, that can make a huge difference to your overall health, but check with your doctor before making any changes with that.
  • Exercise & Fitness – Another one that will help you with good bone health and keep your physical health in check which could help you in the long run.
  • Sleep & Relaxation – Find a routine that works for you, tiredness can be very disruptive and getting a regular 6-8 hours of sleep a night will help re-energise you.
  • Caffeine & Alcohol – In moderation, they are stimulants at the end of the day, and we need to find ways to chill, so try to reduce your consumption of both of these things.
  • Additional Protein – In the form of eggs, dairy, meat, and fish, including full fat Greek yogurt, nuts & seeds, add Omega 3 rich fish like salmon, mackerel, or sardines.
  • Mindfulness & Meditation – Something we should all include, a daily practice for even 15mins a few times a week can be enough to destress, release and relax you.
  • Bathtime & Pamper Time – Save a little time for yourself will re-energise you, relax and reward yourself for all the changes you have made in your life and give yourself  back some well deserved…ME TIME!
