Hey, Your Inner Child here…

Take the time to meet your Inner Child, a place for you to be reunited with a younger version of yourself, and living your values can reach far deeper levels than you might ever have realised…

Are you your hardest taskmaster or critic, or do you lack the self-belief you feel you need, always acting as if you have boundless amounts of confidence or courage?  Or perhaps you feel as if you’re an imposter in your own body, a survivor of your life story, not truly taking control of what life has thrown at you over the years.

Sometimes we want to find reasons for the way things were or get answers for why something could or should have been handled better when you were young.  But this is not always possible, so you need to be kind to yourself, accept that what people did then wasn’t your fault, you no longer need to carry those heavy emotions with you.

At the age of about 8 years old, I started to experience something I called ‘feelings’, not really knowing what they were I tried to describe them to my parents who did their best to understand.  However, these ‘feelings’, as I called them, got progressively worse as I got older, symptoms of fear and panic rising, particlarly in the transition period between Primary and Secondary school, and later through puberty and the run up to my exams.  Then on into my late teens was also a very stressful and anxious time impacting my life in more ways than I realised.

My parents consulted a specialist and we attended weekly councelling sessions as a family, my memory of these sessions leaving deeply ingrained sense of guilt as they proved to be very upsetting for everyone, partularly my mother who was left in tears and my sisters wondering why we all had to be there!  There was no real resolution and our vulnerabilities as adults may stem from our experiences growing up, so revisting your Inner Child can help you work through those delicate times.

When we meet our Inner Child in Sophro Balance we learn about our own special Values & All is One.  Acknowledging these moments with kindness and affection provides all the things your Inner Child needs, putting any anxieties in adulthood to rest, and giving you the freedom to step forward confidently into the future.

By choosing your preferred values you champion transparency, honesty, and sincerity, reflecting the childhood experiences you had, so you can move forward happier and more confident in life!
