Sophrology is based on the four attitudes and six components, the essential components being posture, awareness, breathing, gentle movement, visualisation, and affirmation. The principles of the four attitudes is to take your experiences and live them as if for the first time, by being non-judgemental, and repeating the exercises regularly.

- Be free from judgement – By being aware that we are judging can let go of our judgment, and notice other ways of experiencing or percieving situations, people, or objects.
- As if seeing things for the first time – Looking at the world through the eyes of a child, rather than on present experiences, we look at situations, people, or objects as if for the first time.
- Put aside any pre-concieved ideas – Placing any concerns or worries and any pre-concieved ideas aside, you can live as if each moment is new, just waiting to be discovered…as if for the very first time.
- Be curious and wondering – If you want to learn something new, you need to repeat it until your body and neural pathways start to function automatically according to the training.
Sophrology is a very versatile practice used to improve academic and sporting performance and self-development. Continued practice can be transformative as each level of Sophrology brings a person to a higher level of self-awareness and consciousness, deepening one’s feelings of ‘aliveness’.
