‘Upcycled’ Menopause

Ever wondered if it’s possible to improve the symptoms of  menopause without HRT, then YES, you can!

‘Menopauses’

The perimenopause, usually occurring in your 40s or later in your early 50s, lasting several years.  This is typically the time when you will have periods up to 12mths before they stop, then, menopause itself is just 1 day in length, after which you are considered to be post-menopausal.

I am in the post-menopause phase as my periods stopped at around the age of 52 years, choosing not to take HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy), and managing my symptoms has been challenging  However, today, I am happy to say that I found a way by using Sophrology practices.

Symptoms can include:

  • Changes in monthly cycle, longer or shorter
  • Irregular/lighter/heavier menstrual periods
  • Hot flashes & night sweats
  • Low mood or depression
  • Difficulty sleeping
  • Mood swings, anxiety

  • Reduced libido

Mindfulness practice is recommended by experts for helping women in menopause, which is not only uplifting but can be a way of bringing happiness to all areas of your life!
