Cleanse your Body & Mind!

Unburden yourself from past trauma with this very easy visualisation and relaxation technique, and if your past carries stress weighed down with high emotion, then maybe it’s time for a change…

When you release tension, refocus your mindset and restore harmony so think about what you can do to enhance your own wellbeing, and remember to be kind to yourself.

Now close your eyes, inhale deeply, focus on your in breath exhale slowly

Think back to a time when you were a child, a time when you were happy, really happy and recall the feelings or sensations…see yourself in every detail, really smell, taste, and touch it…

Then, focus on your breathing, notice the air going in and the air going out, and notice the air as brushes your top lip on the in breath…

Now think of another time from the past when you were really, really happy, this could be the same moment as before or you could choose another special moment!

See yourself in every detail and really allow yourself to notice everything about the place where you are, with all the details, using all of your senses again...

And now think of a third moment from the past when you were really, really happy and notice it in every little detail with all the colours, the nuance of the smells, the tastes and the sounds…

Finally, return to the breath and take one full deep belly breath in, hold the breath and release it quickly in one full breath out…then check-in with yourself to see how you are feeling now

Waterfall Cleanse & Detox

Once fully relaxed, close your eyes again…

Walk towards a beautiful waterfall, you can hear it in the distance, you can see it in your minds eye, you can feel the spray of the water as you approach it.  Then, when you are next to it, you take off your shoes and take a step towards it, being careful not to slip over.

You start to feel the water as it pours over you, you notice the water is cold but not too cold as it gushes over your body, and it takes your breath away.  It runs through your body from your head to your toes into the water below your feet where you’re stood.  You can sense the water as it flows inside and outside your body, flushing out the negative emotions you have held onto for so long, you are ready, at last, to let them go forever…

As the water cleanses your mind and body, it releases your thoughts, your worries, your concerns or stressors that fall through your body into the pool below…then as you look down you see all the fish eating the plants and nibbling at your feet which purifies the water until it runs clear and pure so the circle of life for change & transition can start now…

Then once fully cleansed, you step carefully out of the shallow pool and take a mindful walk to the field nearby where you lie down outstretched in the long grass being warmed by the sun, looking up at the blue sky while the sun’s rays dry your skin.  This warm energy is penetrating your whole body to the core, and you can rejoice as you bathe in the light of the beaming sunshine…you are ready, more than ever, now, to move on…

Top Tip:  Record this for your own practice at home and do it a few times a week and see what comes to you. It can be a very cathartic experience…
