Beyond Inner Strength!

Believing in yourself is the first step to finding ‘Inner Strength‘, as it provides awareness of the power that comes from within that boosts self-confidence so you can move forward in life!

Sophrology has the capacity to provide you with the tools you need to get ‘Inner Strength Beyond Natural Wellbeing’ as it uses some of the oldest and most widely known tools of Buddhism, Yoga & Zen together, a mix of Eastern wisdom combined with Western science, that raises your awareness, thereby giving you the tools to finding happiness and being more in tune with life.

BuddhismFollowers of Buddhism don’t acknowledge a supreme god or deity, they focus on achieving enlightenment—a state of inner peace and wisdom. The path to enlightenment is attained by utilising morality, meditation and wisdom, and Buddhists meditate because they believe it helps awaken truth.

YogaIs all about breathing techniques and specific poses. To yoke means to draw together, to bind together; or to unite. Its aim is to yoke or create a union of the body, mind, soul, and universal consciousness. This process of uniting the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual aspects of ourselves is what allows yogis to experience deep states of freedom, peace and self-realisation.

ZenThe essence of Zen is attempting to understand the meaning of life directly, without being misled by logical thought or language. Zen is big on intuitive understanding, on just ‘getting a sense of’, and not so much on philosophising. It is concerned with what actually is rather than what we think or feel about what is, and seeing things as they are, without trying to interpret them.

The beauty of combining these powerful players together is what worked for Prof. Caycedo (the founder of Sophrology) when he was treating sufferers of PTSD in the sixties, without too much effort or energy on the part of the participant. You too can achieve these benefits, through simple guided practices that can be done easily from the comfort of a chair at home. More importantly, it can have the life changing capability of reflecting on areas of your life that can be improved upon, so you can achieve happiness and live a more joyful lifestyle…intuitively!

The Swiss Olympic team trained using this technique during the Grenoble Olympic Games of 1968 where they won three medals. Others that benefit today are new mothers in the later stages of pregnancy enabling them to remain calm and relaxed whilst in labour, also for children in schools in France that include this as part of their curriculum to help deal with any heightened levels of stress during their exams and interview practice.

Although not as widely known in this country it is recognised in France & Switzerland where they recommend it through their health systems as an add-on relaxation therapy. It is also beginning to show benefits in the elderly or those suffering with Dementia, as a way of helping them remain calmer and feel happier, so less depressed thereby making their lives and the lives of their carers much easier.

Sophro Balance can provide you with the necessary tools for you to take your practice to another level so that within 8 weeks you can experience what it’s like to feel happier and more joyful in your own skin. This is a something that has come to me whilst becoming a Sophrologist, and it has helped me bounce back in the face of adversity and something I am passionate about sharing with others.

So be courageous and you will find your ‘Inner Strength’, but be strong and you will see what going ‘Beyond Inner Strength‘ can bring you…
